Product use: 2,4-dichlorophenol is an important organic intermediate. It is mainly used in the pesticide industry to produce insecticide phenolic phosphorus and herbicide oxaloin, methyl ester herbicide ether, 2,4-dichlorobenzene. Oxygen series acids (such as acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid) and their esters; used in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of the anthelmintic thiodichlorophenol; used in the auxiliaries industry to produce the mold inhibitor TCS. In recent years, the development of downstream products of 2,4-dichlorophenol has increased at home and abroad, and the supply of 2,4-dichlorophenol has been in short supply.
 
Existing processes and problems: At present, the industrial production methods of 2,4-dichlorophenol in the world mainly include phenol direct chlorination, mixed phenol chlorination, o-chlorophenol selective chlorination, p-chlorophenol catalytic chlorination and Five kinds of phenol-catalyzed chlorination methods. Among them, the phenol direct chlorination method is the most widely used production process in China, and has the characteristics of simple process and low cost compared with other methods. The method firstly injects phenol into a reactor with enamel, and then continuously introduces a chlorine gas of 2 times the amount of phenol, and the reaction time is about 60 hours, and the purity of the 2,4-dichlorophenol is about 90%. The purity after the washing process is about 96%. The problems in this process are: high equipment cost and labor cost, long reaction period, and the by-produced 2,6-dichlorophenol is very close to the physical properties of 2,4-dichlorophenol. It is difficult to separate and it is impossible to produce high-purity 2,4-dichlorophenol products.
 
The present technology and characteristics: the technology uses a falling film microstructure reactor, phenol / carbon tetrachloride solution and chlorine as raw materials for the preparation of 2,4-dichlorophenol, only about 10 minutes to achieve product yield More than 80%. Currently only preliminary research results.
