Reduction of Aromatic Nitro Compounds

Release time:2019-10-09 17:30:21

Reduction of aromatic nitro compounds is an important way to prepare aromatic amines. Aromatic amines are widely used as pharmaceutical intermediates. More and more literature reports on aromatics under relatively mild conditions using palladium, platinum and Raney nickel as catalysts. The continuous reduction of the nitro group gave very good results.
Reaction 1: Flow hydrogenation reduction and recyclization to form a hydrazine compound in a yield of 93%.
Reaction 2: An optimized flow process yields the target product imidazole in a yield of more than 95%. The batch process is hydrogenated with Zn and 5% palladium on carbon, which produces carbonyl ruthenium by-products. The preparation results are largely dependent on the reaction conditions. At temperatures below -10 ° C or above 60 ° C, at 1.5 kg hydrogen pressure Nitrogen oxidation by-products are produced underneath.
